The cutest shorts ever

The cutest shorts ever

As I was flipping through Jalouse (a cheap but ever so good, French fix magazine), something caught my eye.  This spread has an assortment of temptingly cute things in all the right colours.  But it was these shorts that jumped out at me calling ‘Susie, Susie, look at me with my big wooden buttons and cute cream lace piping.  I’m exactly the right fit of shorts, not hotpant-tight, not draggy-baggy.  And look – I’m only 100 euros!  Hop on a Eurostar train to the Paris Manoush store and snap me up pronto!’  Goddamnit, I think I’m going to have to do just that!  And whilst, I’m there, I’ll be picking up these cute glitter flat shoes too….

Lesson of the day?  It’s quite dangerous flicking through Jalouse when there’s all this cuteness to be found.

how dare you threat Jalouse of being cheap????? this is my favorite magazine ever! btw love the shorts. I tried them on and they are terrific. my favorites one are the blue shorts “layette” . it’s like a bloomer for baby…

Cachou! I meant the magazine’s PRICE is cheap – it costs £1.75 here which is the cheapest fashion magazine I buy! I love it too…. it’s so great. Do you think the shorts will still be there when it’s sales? I am going to go twice to Paris in June/July for the sales.

Wow! You’re a Jalouse fan!! Me too!! I can rarely buy the stuff they feature though (extremely difficult to find in Montreal). I might also have to stop by Paris this summer. So when exactly are the sales? July or August?

Maia: the sales begins june 28th in Paris
Concerning Jalouse, the better place I found in montreal to buy it is in Rockland center (Mont royal town) in the small magazines shop that also is the post office. they have it every month!
otherwise la maison de la presse on bernard(or cote-des-neiges) or renaud-bray on côte-des-neiges(much better than the one on st denis) , but it seems they dont have it as often as the one in rockland.
    I hope this help!

i’ve always thought Jalouse was the greatest fashion magazine ever. i “read” it again and again (almost everyday haha), plus i’m french so it’s not hard to get the things they feature.

This mag sounds fantastic, I can’t wait to pick up a copy next month! BTW what are some of the other prices in their range, I really like a lot of their pieces (and those silver shoes!).

Julia: The prices are mid-range I think – between 50 euros to 200 euros. Quite reasonable. Such a cute range!
Tindi-Rindi: I tried to find a place to subscribe but I couldn’t find their website but you can purchase individual copies each month from here http://www.info-presse.fr/revue/jalouse_L6943.htm
The website is in French but they ship internationally.
